About
The Glazed Ghost is a small slow-batch ceramics business based out of Guadalajara, Mexico. Since our founding in 2023, hundreds of people have collected pieces of the artists' soul to decorate their homes, share with friends and family, or honor loved ones. All of our pieces are handmade and handpainted with love to haunt you gently. We are currently a two-(wo)man team, so every purchase goes a long way and we are grateful for your business.

About the Artist
The Glazed Ghost was created by Kat (she/her). She is an American from Seattle but has lived in Mexico for the last 12 years where she has built a family with her husband, son, and 4 animals. Kat has a MA in Social Justice and Human Rights, and a BA in Sociology. Her background in these topics, along with her love for macabre and odd art styles, deeply influences her art. Aside from pottery, she also enjoys reading romance novels, historical fiction, writing, long walks, and learning new skills.
Message from the artist; "Since the inception of my lil biz, I have met some amazing people with shared interests, so welcome to the Boo-bie Nation and I hope you come to think of this space as your own community of whimsy."

Message from the artist: "The Glazed Ghost was born out of a need to cope with politics, and current events. I mention this because ceramics is not about creating cups and plates for me, but an expression of grief and a reclamation of joy and resistance against oppression. Some may argue that art should be apolitical, but I think it is impossible to separate your deepest expressions from the influences, grief, and/or identifying features of your life. What better way to express that than ghosts! Without art, we have no interpretation of our humanity. While my Boos may not appeal to some, this space is unapologetically safe for marginalized and oppressed communities."
