"Boos" are what we call our ceramic ghost figurines. Although they are sometimes functional (pencil holders, incense holders, etc.), they are usually purely decorative.

All items are made in Mexico. Since the majority of our clients are from outside of Mexico, we would be subject to extensive shipping costs if each item were to be shipped individually from here. Therefore, to save on costs, we send a large package with 20-40 orders altogether to the US. There, our team (my mom), can individually prepare, package, and ship out orders individually. So, it is important to consider that your order will go through 2 rounds of shipping to arrive to you which is factored into the cost and estimated delivery time for your order.

Sometimes customers are surpirsed that a custom order can take several weeks to fulfill, which is understandable. If you are not familiar with the ceramic process, please consider the following steps each Boo goes through: The item is handsculpted which can take 30min -2 hours depending on the complexity of the design. Each item must dry for 3-4 days (can be delayed during periods of high humidity) Each item is then handpainted with 3 coats of each color which can take 30 min - 3 hours depending on the complexity of the design. Each item is then fired in a specal ceramics kiln. The firing take approx. 9 hours. Then the kiln cannot be opened until it is cooled which can take up to 12 hours. Each item is then glazed with 3 coats which takes 5-10 minutes per item and at least 1 day to dry. Each item is then fired a 2nd time in the kiln for 11 hours. Then again must cool up to 12 hours before removing. For items with luster (gold, silver, & pearl), a 3rd firing is required. Altogether, this process, if all steps were followed back-to-back takes about 10-12 days. Additionally, as mentioned, items go though 2 rounds of shipping (one of which is from tMexico to the US) which can 1-2 weeks. Luckily, as of 2026, The Glazed Ghost has our own kiln now which has reduced the turnaround time by literal weeks! While the process can be lengthly, it is very rewarding and we put a lot of effort into ensuring you love the final result. Thank you for your patience!
