His gift was rare and dangerous: he could take the suffering meant for another into himself. In the final moments before The Sundering consumed the throne, he stepped forward without hesitation, attempting to draw into his own body the catastrophic force that would surely annihilate the royal line. But even he, steadfast and unbreakable, could not contain the magnitude of unleashed magick. There was too much. Now he lingers near the shattered prison walls, a silent sentinel still carrying the weight of a kingdom’s agony, steadfastly loyal to the sovereign he chose until his final breath.
